Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS)
At Thames, students have the opportunity to earn points (Tiger Tickets, Class Dojo) for following procedures and expectations campus-wide. With enough points, they are able to participate in our end of the month PBIS events. Students are categorized in groups based on the number of points they earn (listed in order from most to least): ROAR, STRIPES, PAWS, TAILS. More points equal more activities!
Below is a summary of our PBIS Monthly Activities this year. For more pictures, visit our Photo Gallery!
August- International Festival
Based on the story, "Around the World in 80 Days."
Students made passports during the week leading up to the event. At the International Festival, students used their passports to "travel" to Hong Kong, Egypt, and London. In Hong Kong, they learned how to use chopsticks and played a relay game. In Egypt, they learned to write using hieroglyphics. In London, they used cardboard boxes and cones to build the London Bridges over the Thames River. To view more pictures, click here.
