Gladys Gonzalez, a native of Monterrey, Mexico, holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration degree from Universidad Mexicana del Noreste in Monterrey, Mexico, a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from  Escuela Superior de Musica y  Danza de Monterrey  and a Master’s degree in Music Education from The University of Southern Mississippi. As a violinist she has performed in orchestras with such renowned soloists as Itzhak Perlman and Placido Domingo.

Mrs. Gonzalez is a Suzuki Method Certified string teacher. She is also the author of a string method book entitled Yes I Can Read! Music Reading Method for Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass. She previously served as Secretary–Treasurer and later as Vice President of the Mississippi Orchestra Teachers Association. She received the Orchestra Teacher of the Year 2005 Award by MOTA.

Currently Mrs. Gonzalez is a National Board Certified Teacher , Director of the Southern Mississippi Kids Orchestra, has a Private Violin Studio and for 15 years she has taught Strings in the Hattiesburg Public Schools District.
