Teacher for a Day

Over the past week or so, students in Mrs. Walker's ELA classes celebrated teacher appreciation week by stepping into the shoes of a teacher.

Each teacher (student) could choose any topic to teach a mini-lesson, complete with a full lesson plan, activity, assessment and a written reflection of their experience.

Students taught everything from the binary system, origami, how to start a garden, sign language, how to make the perfect airplane, proper table manners, and integers. Many of the lessons were very impressive and the kids really enjoyed learning from each other (also found a new respect for teachers....ha ha).
