This term, 5th and 6th grade students in Mrs. Dedeaux's music classes participated in a video competition to see who could create the best video performance of students playing the song, "If You're Happy and You Know it Clap Your Hands," on xylophones.  Mrs. Dedeaux used the digital projector to post the music for the students to read during the performance.  One group even thought to add a beat to the music using the side of the piano.  Each class also used musical terms to discuss what they liked about each video and shared ideas to improve their videos in the future.  The students love playing the xylophones and making music.  The best way to learn about music is to make it yourself!

Have a look at the winning videos for this competition below.
