April PTA Performance

The first half of PTA program began with a performance by the 5th and 6th grade strings students.  The Thames 'Treble'makers began the second half of the show with "Lean On Me" on the xylophones.  They followed this piece with "Snake Charmer"  and  "Oompa Loompa," from "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory."  Younger siblings of the 'Treble'makers dressed up as Oompa Loompas and danced on the stage during this piece.  Next, several of the 6th grade students rapped and danced to the song, "I Like High Scores."  The lyrics to this song were written by the 6th grade students.  It is an inspirational song about making high scores on the MCT.  Next, several 4th grade students joined the 5th and 6th grade students in performing "The Blue Danube" on recorder.  The Thames Drum Line performed a variety of beats during the set change after which the 5th and 6th grade students used body percussion to play together several rhythmic combinations.  The next two songs performed were "It Starts with Me" and "Learn Baby Learn," sung to the tune of "Disco Inferno."  The students in Poised in Pink danced a ribbon dance for the final song, "I Believe I can Fly."
